The Regenerative Medicine Institute (REMEDI) is an SFI funded research institute based at the National Centre for Biomedical Engineering Science located at NUI, Galway. Scientists and Doctors at REMEDI are working together to combine the technologies of gene therapy and adult stem cell therapy to repair and replace damaged tissue.

REMEDI research teams are looking at heart disease, diabetes, arthritis and neurological diseases such as Parkinson's and spinal cord injury, to research and develop medical therapies that enable the body to repair itself at a cellular and genetic level.
